BARNHILL'S BUFFET, INC. STATEMENT

Effective February 1, 2008, sixteen Barnhill's restaurants were purchased from Barnhill's Buffet,
Inc. by Star Buffet Management, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Star Buffet, Inc. Star Buffet,
Inc. is a public company that operates multiple brands, including several buffet dining brands.
The sale of these restaurants is in furtherance of Barnhill's Buffet's development of a plan of
reorganization pursuant to its voluntary petition for reorganization filed under Chapter 11 of the
U.S. Bankruptcy Code on December 3, 2007. The restaurants sold to Star Buffet Management
are as follows:
